I am a designer that thinks like an engineer. It’s an odd juxtaposition for someone in my field to be creative and innovative, but also adhere to the mindset of “Form Follows Function.” I believe what I’m doing or creating should have a reason for being there (most of the time), not just because “I like it.” And figuring out that balance of what can we do versus what should we do is key to creating a great cohesive piece. Design is a fun puzzle for me.
