Helping Make Childcare More Available

Early Learning Indiana came to with the concept of combining the gig economy with the severe lack of availability of childcare. What came to be known as 'Smart Shift' was a tool designed to connect childcare facilities with trained and register childcare professionals to help fill gaps in their workforce. We walked through their concept and the current pain points in the system with ELI and built out a comprehensive user flow for both the facilities and childcare workers. Then through a series of mockups and reviews we developed a high fidelity prototype in Figma showcasing the entire work flow for both sides of the equation. Everything pulled from ELI's branding and used bright colors and imagery to capture the feel of early childhood.
